Considering your next promotion? Or perhaps branding your business with promotional products for the first time? Here are five things you should keep in mind:
- Beware of swag-hunters! Avoid simply handing out items that you've spent your hard-earned marketing dollars on by having recipients sign up for your newsletter, fill out a survey or agree to a product demo. This way you are likely to reach more qualified prospects for your product or service.
- Think ahead! Most items can be produced within 7-10 days, however this does not include time to review samples and artwork proofs or shipping time. We can do it more quickly if necessary, however we recommend starting the process a minimum of about two months before the items are needed.
- Don’t go ‘cheap’ – the quality of the gifts you give directly reflects on the perception of your brand. However there are plenty of budget-friendly items that can help make a lasting positive impression.
- Ask for samples – whatever it is, get one and use it for a while. Make sure it’s something you’d want to have yourself and are proud to give.
- Know the “imprint area” on the item you are ordering and how your logo or artwork fits into it. A long, not very tall logo will not work in a small square or round imprint area. Also beware of small text that might ‘fill in’ or thin lines that may not appear at all. It helps to have expert graphic design support from your promotional products company.
