Hi everyone,
Just when the economic news gets really depressing, I see something hopeful and innovative on the horizon. Our client Philly.com has just launched phrequency, a new hyper-local music community dedicated to connecting fans, bands and editorial through a variety of interactive channels. Todd Berman, Philly.com’s marketing director, worked with Key Marketing to come up with a range of fun, yet cost-effective promotional items to brand the new site, including barware, coasters, napkins, guitar picks and stickers. “In addition to street teams handing out items as fans leave local shows, we will be partnering with local music venues and giving care packages to VIPs in the local community,” said Berman. The site is way cool, and sure to be a boost to the local economy – you should check it out: www.phrequency.com.
And, a new industry study confirms that promotional products are the way to go when looking for the most cost-effective advertising medium. The Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI), the largest media and marketing organization serving the advertising specialty industry, recently completed a groundbreaking study revealing that advertising specialties beat all forms of TV, radio and print advertising as the most cost-effective medium available. According to the study:
• 84% of people remember advertisers on products they receive.
• 42% of respondents had a MORE favorable impression of an advertiser after receiving the item.
• 24% said they are MORE likely to do business with the advertiser on the items they receive.
