Ten Tweets from a Facebook Webinar

Last week I participated in an informative social media webinar – "Facebook for PR Pros" put on by award-winning PR software provider Cision.

During the webinar I tweeted ten Facebook tips & facts and would like to share them with you :). Enjoy!

  1. Be aware of privacy and legal issues for your company.
  2. Begin using social media with a clear objective in mind.
  3. DON'T: focus just on your own brand, post too frequently or repeat posts.
  4. Check out Walmart as an example of how to respond to complaints. Say SORRY and ask for more information.
  5. Ask questions of your community; it's NOT about you!
  6. Creating brand advocates is a great goal for social media programs.
  7. Don't delete negative comments; address them off-line if necessary.
  8. Make sure your posts resonate with your corporate culture and brand.
  9. Use Facebook to connect with journalists. 
  10. Social media now rivals search engines in driving web traffic!
