Thankful

I swore I would not do anything "official business" today, but one thing I've learned is that when inspiration hits, it's a good idea to jump on it!
Nearly 4 years ago I put "fitness" in my bullseye, which for me meant getting off my ass and getting in shape, no more excuses. My youngest was 4 at the time and I could only milk the 10 lb 10 oz baby excuse (really!) for so long.
I just finished running 3.8 miles on this beautiful Thanksgiving Day 2011 and I am SO thankful today and every day... that at 46 I can have it all - I am wife and mother, entrepreneur and runner of all things (never really considered myself a runner until recently). I can do all I need to do for my family; as of this week thanks to our recent adoption of Colby (shown here with my youngest) includes my husband, 3 daughters, 2 dogs and 2 cats :). I can run my business, serve my customers well and stay fit. Today, "fitness" encompasses all of this and means so much more than it did 4 years ago.
This week we have been putting the finishing touches on our company values - and the concept of "fitness" tops the list:
Value #1. FITNESS - Healthy bodies + healthy minds + healthy families = greater productivity.
As our top core value this is a win-win-win-win situation! We are fit and focused and our customers get our very best from us every single day. I also truly believe this a solid foundation to grow our business, help our clients grow their businesses, serve our employees and do all we can to serve our community.
Happy Thanksgiving all!
